Atlantis Was A Spaceship?

Posted by: St.Ego on August 28, 2008 4:20:00 PM (1250 Reads)

It is difficult to consider with a straight face, but, on consideration, the possibility that Atlantis was a spaceship has a degree of merit. Having never encountered the concept previously in literature, I was even more circumspect about it. The argument that I was presented with included conjecture that the different evolutions of mankind were each originated as genetic experiments in adaptation for a non-indigenous people. The basis of the argument was that there is no satisfactory explanation for the genetic leaps of each phase in evolution that include an increased number of chromosomes; each additional chromosome representing a further attempt to integrate with the native environment.

Of course, if you are considering the existence of Atlantis at all, you shouldn't have significant qualms about the possibility that Atlantis was a spaceship.

Now, allowing that our ancestors were aliens is one thing, but imagining Atlantis itself as an actual spaceship is another stretch of the imagination altogether.

I'm not saying I agree with it; I'm just telling you what I've heard...

Every reference to Atlantis indicates that it was comprised of concentric circles which could possibly be the exposed surface of a crashed ship. If that were true, then the sinking of Atlantis becomes much more plausible; especially if it happened in the span of a single day and night, as the literature also claims.

How could you possibly romanticize the evolution of the race more than to produce a myth capable of realistically claiming origins going back to the beginning of the species and even to before inhabitation of the current solar system?

Many of the Atlantis references, as well as references in the collective mythology of the rest of the world's cultures, point to influence from the star Sirius. Enough mythology exists to support the existence of flying chariots, and an extraterrestrial origin would accommodate that possibility quite nicely.

Based on my own research on the nature of reality, it can be expected that, once enough people are conditioned to accept these types of possibilities without expressing surprise, more details will begin to surface which support what now can only be seen as quite extravagent claims.

When aliens finally land, it won't be until we've all become so desensitized to the concept that we'll either invite them in for drinks or shoot back without questioning it.

Of course, they said I was wrong about being able to bank on fictional currency, but gold pieces and other MMO currencies now account for a more than $500 million industry.

Now, when is someone going to develop an Atlantis MMO for me, damnit?
